Learnin' to Crawl, Kind Of?

Here's our goof on the day she was learning to crawl. We sometimes wish she was back at this point instead of into everything, but this was funny. What a spaz!

What's in a Name

ADDISON LEE SMITH

For those unaware of what heartfelt care was put into Addison's name, here u go. ADDISON is the street name on which Wrigley Field lies in which our beloved Cubs play the only sport that will be allowed in to Heaven. LEE had 2 sides to the story. Derrek Lee is the above mention Cubs 1st Baseman and Bo and Addison's favorite player. (Hillary's stuck on Mark DeRosa because he's a hottie.) LEE SMITH is the CUBS all time leader in saves and deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. So there you have it. A true blue cubs fan is born. By the way, the family dog is named Wrigley.

P.S. Call her Addy and her Mom will spit flames at you.

Catching U up

I guess we'll jump on the bandwagon and start blogging. Of course, this site will mostly be about Addison, our pride and joy. She is now 8 months old and becoming more and more of a handful each and every day. She has learned to pull herself up and stand long enough to pull items on to her head. I guess we still need to do better childproofing around the home. After visiting the Highland Smith's, she has also learned to shake her head no and it is so funny to watch. I'll ask her if the Yankees are cool and she'll shake no, if the Steelers are any good, she'll shake no. The only problem is she won't do it with the camera on, so we might have to pull the hidden camera trick.

One thing that needs to be fixed in the next 15 years, is teaching Addison to kiss without the tongue. She's an open mouth kisser, and often goes on the attack trying to do so. Even her duck beany baby from grammy gets its share of kisses.
As I said early, she is crawling around into everything now, which is a great break for the back of her head. It's amazing to see how baby's adapt in their own way. Forever she would bow up on her feet and head and scoot backwards across the floor. It was fun to watch, but she also was getting the bald patch.

As for Hill and I, we are both working alternating graveyard shifts so that we don't have to have a babysitter. It's actually worked out pretty well. Hillary likes the lighter workload the nightshift as a nurse gives her. She is only clinicals away from being an RN. They will still be a little into the future, but she is already stressing out. If I know my Hill, she'll be just fine. I am still at Heinz, although part-time and attending full-time at ISU. Go Bengals. Here is our blog.
